Before turning professional, Stacy won the 1993 World Golf Expo Indoor Putting Championship in Dallas, Texas. After college and brief stint in the business world outside of golf, Stacy started his professional golf career at Sleepy Hollow Golf Club in Dallas, Texas in 1994. While employed at Sleepy Hollow Golf Club Stacy finished Runner-Up in the PGA Playing Ability Test at Mission Del Lago Golf Club in San Antonio, Texas among 48 other PGA Apprentices vying for their PGA card. He went on to work at Oakridge Country Club in Garland, Texas as a First Assistant Golf Professional in 1999. While at Oakridge C.C he successfully completed his PGA orientation in Houston, Texas that same year. Stacy then moved on to Eldorado Country Club in McKinney, Texas in 2000, and while there went through all 3 levels of the Golf Professional Training Program in an astounding 8 month time period. He was a graduate of the G.P.T.P. in October of 2001, and was elected to PGA membership in January, of 2002. In 2005 Stacy made the decision to further his teaching career by successfully completing the testing to attain his Certification in Instruction. He was the first PGA Professional in all of North Texas to go beyond earning his PGA card and testing to achieve Certiication in Instruction through the PGA Certified Professional Program. This is indicated by the two gold stars above his PGA logo. Stacy has taught and continues to teach players of all skill levels from beginners, to an N.C.A.A. tournament winner, and an N.C.A.A. tournament runner-up to his fellow PGA Professionals. Stacy has written manuals detailing mental and physical conditioning, as well as practice preparation, and tournament preparation, for players at every skill level. He has also written a manual to help all players to get the most out of their practice sessions, as well as having produced 20 instruction videos to date, and has written instruction articles for publications such as the Southlake Journal, Grapevine Courier, Colleyville Courier, Weatherford Telegram, and the DFW Tribune. He currently writes a monthly article for the Plano Star Courier, Allen American, Coppell Gazette, Flower Mound Reader, Frisco Enterprise, McKinney Courier-Gazette, The Colony Courier-Leader, the Utah M.E.N.S.A. (Genius) Society, and eight other newspaper publications.
